  We really enjoyed our visit to Timbertown today. It wasn't terribly busy, but it was Monday morning. We walked around and looked at all the buildings. Had a ride on the steam train where my husband was invited to sit up front with the driver. Did some tasting at the wine cellar, the ports are amazing! I enjoyed the horse and carriage ride. Paul the driver is very knowledgeable about Timbertown and the area around. He clearly loves his horses and is a very nice bloke. We stayed around 3 hours and went away happy. Thanks!!

  I’ve been visiting Timbertown for over 12 years and have very fond memories of coming here in my childhood with my family.
  
  I still very much enjoy coming here but unfortunately in the past few years I have noticed the standard of some of the things have downgraded significantly.
  
  It’s pretty obvious that the “ rooms” are falling apart. There are cob webs everywhere and just generally looked like it wasn’t being looked after properly.
  
  The rooms are also very dark inside so it’s hard to see in properly and because you can’t access the room and can only view from afar you can’t see everything in the room properly.
  
  Another disappointing aspect we found was that the Lolly shop was closed and now replaced with a knit wear type shop. We were looking forward to visiting the Lolly shop so it was very disappointing to see that it’s no was longer there.
  
  I definitely think if Timber town was able to receive a make over, clean up, and perhaps a few extra things added they would definitely receive more visitors.
  
  Things we did enjoy though was the animals and the train ride. It was great to still see some of the same animals there.
  
  Over all, I do recommend visiting for anyone considering it. There is a restaurant inside it where you can get food and drinks.

  The place seems like it needs some maintenance. We spent two hours there and the horse ride, paddle boat and train ride were fun. The place has potential but think they are struggling with money.
  Front desk and shop staff also need some help with smiling and customer service.

  What a great place! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Activities on the weekend the kids looooved! Great gold panning, mini train, steam train and the horse/tractor rides were all a highlight. And the steam saw mill was great to learn about. Follow the schedule and map immediately to ensure you don’t miss the mini trains on the weekends at the top of the park.
  It is a wonderful day in the beautiful trees and the food at the bar and grill near the entrance was exceptional- especially the coleslaw. Wait staff so friendly and helpful.
  Timber town is a great day for the kids slowing down and learning about history, with activities created thoughtfully to engage the kids. Thank you!!

  Totally loved this place. Was so fun the lovely couple at the wine place were hilarious and so friendly. Good day out with or without children. The staff at the Cafe were super friendly and accommodating and the food was very reasonably priced and delicious. Really nice day out
